Papa has a Harley and it was so much fun. We thought that Sarah would scream but we were wrong, she didn't want to get off. They had so much fun and well Jeff wants one. I have to admit that it was a blast.

We took the kids, including Bryon and Lauren, to go and visit Maybeth and Grandpa. They got to go swimming in the cold water. Grandpa of course got in the pool with them. They had so much fun and it was nice to visit with Grandpa.

We decided since we flew all the way across the country we might as well stay for a while. We drove back to California with Mom and oh boy is that a long drive. Thank goodness for video players in the car. Other wise I think we would have gone crazy. The kids love to play Rock Band at Nana's and Papa's. It was so cute to watch. What a fun game.

We finally ended up at the Conference Center. That place is huge. We got to see the podium and the inside of the center.
Posted by Picasa

Next we went to the Visitor's center. The girls loved all the flowers and wanted to keep picking them. They loved the Christus Statue it was the best time.

It was so neat to take the kids to temple sqaure. They have never been so this was a great experience. Wish we could have spent more time there. It was so peacful, even though we had all the kids. It was like they could tell it was a special place. We went to the JSMB first so the we could see the temple from the the top.

We took the kids on the TRAX to downtown Salt Lake. Who would have thought it would have been so much fun. We adopted Sydney for the day. She loved the train wanted to go on it over and over. We just went on it once. I told her that her mommy could take her later. It was fun.

The most recent event that has happen in our families life is that my grandmother past away. We got the oppurtunity to fly out to Salt Lake for the funeral. I think that even though it was a sad time we had a lot of fun. We got to see all of our cousins and family.

Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to the Columbia Zoo. We got too meet Jasmine the girl, that my in-laws are fostering. Sarah says that she wants one of every animal. That doesn't surprise me at all. She is our lover of animals in the family. She even rescuses bugs. Loves all creatures big and small.

The kids love to go fishing so we try to go as often as we can. There is a little pond down the street. Joshua really wanted to catch something and he did. He was the only one. My big boy:)

We got to have Jeff Grandma come to visit for a day. It was neat to have her here. The kids had never met her so of course we took pictures. Who knows when we will see her again, hopefully sooner than later.

The kids wanted to sleep out on the trampoline. Oh to be a kid again!! They didn't last it got really cold. At least they tried.

We had visitors for Conference weekend. So we decided to do and Easter egg hunt, since we hadn't cut the grass yet it was perfect. We could just throw the eggs in the yard and the kids couldn't see where they were hidden. It was so much fun to have my sister come and play.

Before and after color of the boys room. Let me tell you that I never thought it would have been so hard to pick a color for boys. Caleb is getting to that age where he likes things his way. And wow it is hard to come to a solution that we both liked. He wanted black ao we wnt with gray. PHEW!!

Wow time goes bye fast. I feel like I just blogged the other day and then I realized that I haven't updated since February, so here it goes. We have been so busy. Feels like there is always something going on. Our big project was we remodeled our kitchen. We stained our cabinets and painted the walls. I love the new color and now I enjoy being in my kitchen. Before it was way to bright with yellow walls and I wasn't in love with it. But I am now. Let's see we also painted the boys room. Yeah it finally doesn't have the color of poop and the walls. We also put in wood floors in the hall and dinnig area. Love them so much. Easy clean up.

So we did our experiment with the lifesavers. It was a lot of fun, standing in the dark in the bathroom with mints in our mouths. And by the way Breathsavers, Yuck! Turns out that we were both right. Wintergreen Lifesavers and Wintergreen Certs spark in the dark. Although Wintergreen Lifesaver spark a little bit more, we called it a draw. A win, win for both of us. So now it is bed time and we have very kissable breath!!

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

Jeff and I have a little bet going on right now. Which mint sparks in the dark? I think that it is the Wintergreen Lifesaver and he thinks that it is a different one, so we will see who wins. If I win, Jeff cooks dinner tomorrow! And if he wins well I can't say, wink-wink!! So wish us luck either way we win!

We had the opportunity to go to a special performance tonight. Joshua and his kindergarten class put on a great performance for PTO night. It was so cute to see them sing a lot of songs. Thought it would never end :) But it was fun.

We took the kids to this awesome park that we found in Greenville. It had stuff to play on that I had never seen before. They didn't want to go home. We should have packed a lunch to eat there. Next time we will have to do that.

We had a snow day the other day. We couldn't believe that South Carolina would get snow. The kids school was delayed two hours so they got to play in it before the bus came to come and pick them up. It was nothing like the snow at Nana's and Papa's house but it was a lot of fun.

Sarah wants one of these mini-horses. She said that we can keep it in our backyard. Yeah right we have our hands full with Jack the dog that acts like a kid.
Posted by Picasa
Goats are very selfish animls we found out.
Posted by Picasa

Isn't this the smallest little donkey you have ever seen.
Posted by Picasa
They had llamas. She got a kick out of feeding this animal.
Posted by Picasa
They have a lot of fun animals at this place and most of you know just how much Sarah loves animals. We let them feed them carrots and apples. I think that they loved it. Sarah would have gotten right in there with those horses if we let her. I have to keep a close eyer on her when it comes to all of God's creatures big or small.

On our walk we went by the rail road tracks. This was a lot of fun we found some really interesting and cool things. Some of the kids found coal and just about everybody found a nail that has been wiggled out at one point in time. They wanted a train to come by while we were there so that we could smash pennies but one never did. Oh well.
Posted by Picasa
What a fine group of kids.

Old tractor that we found in the barn.
Posted by Picasa
Really cool Barn that we got to go and explore. Caleb loved it he said that he ahs never been in a barn before.
Posted by Picasa
This is Sarah's friend isn't she the cutest. They really get a long well. It is nice ti have someone her age in the group. Even though Sarah goes to school she still does a lot of things with the group.

Today was a fun day for us homeschoolers. This is our little group (one of them at least) that we do things with every week. Today we got to go on a nature hike. We are learning about incests, so it was a lot of fun to see what kind we could find on our walk. As you can see Caleb is the only boy. Poor kid! He endures alot with all these girls and there emotions.

He does not like cake or the icing that is on it. So every year for him we make a rice krispy cake. It always seems to go over well. Although this year I had no idea but the candles that I put in the rice krispy were the ones that re-lit themselves. It was fun to watch him blow them out over and over. His friends got into it to.
